We love a good coat but they’re an investment – both financially and in terms of personal style. When you pick your outwear, you’re committing to that style for the colder months. In Scandinavia, this makes your commitment semi-equivalent to a marriage, so take some time and consider your options.
Luckily we found UK-based House of Sunny, a womenswear line launched in 2011. With a minimalist and architectural look, they draw heavily on what they call “Scandinavian selectiveness” while still catering to a range of different looks. Their everyday staples are defined by meticulous attention to detail; their outwear in particular is outstanding.
Putting a coat on doesn’t mean you have to cover up your style! Here’s some outfit inspiration, including some of our favorite Scandi designers:
Modern
This look is all about the slightly unexpected – a cut sleeve, a pop of crazy color, an off-kilter neckline. If the whole look isn’t for you, start with an interesting piece or two.

Ultra comfortable and ultra trendy, casual sportswear can look surprisingly pulled-together if worn with confidence. Sure, this can be your Sunday look, but why can’t it also be your Saturday-night-out look?
