There are so many reasons to love Swedish fashion, not the least of which is that there’s really no way to define it. It can be minimalist and clean, artsy, weird and even opulent. The designers we’re excited about this season embody all of these traits and more, and we can’t wait to see their new collections.
Take a look at the best fashion designers showing at Stockholm Fashion Week AW17
Busnel
Simple and classic, Busnel is a French brand bought by a Swede and revamped in 2009. Their coats with gold anchor buttons are a staple, but the rest of their pieces are equally timeless and chic. This is a brand that doesn’t change with the trends, but serves as a foundational wardrobe.
Rodebjer
A brand beloved by fashion-forward women who want a comfortable silhouette while still looking put-together, Rodebjer is The Swedish Look at its peak. The kind of brand where every piece makes you go, “I want that one!”
Emelie Janrell
These made-to-measure pieces are made and sold only at Janrell’s atelier. Sharp lines and unexpected details make this a collection worth checking out.
LAZOSCHMIDL
Gender-bending and fun, the pieces from LAZOSCHMIDL will remind you that fashion is supposed to be fun. Sheer button downs, cropped shirts, candy colors and heavy textures all make for a raucous look.

Naim Josefi
Since winning “Project Runway Sweden” in 2012, Josefi has gone from strength to strength, designing capsule collections for other brands and creating his signature laser-printed denim. His looks are strong, a little quirky and easy to wear.
Hunkydory
For those who like to be tailored and a little Bohemian at the same time, Hunkydory is your brand. Launched in 1996, Hunkydory is all about cool clothes made simple. They don’t sacrifice decorative detailing in the name of Scandinavian minimalism – and that’s just fine by us.
