In previous editions of The White Room, we’ve shown you homes around Copenhagen. This marks our first office space and we’re excited to be expanding. We love spaces in Scandinavia; not just living spaces, but work spaces, public spaces, outer space(s), all kinds of spaces! So it only made sense to showcase as much as we can and when we arrived to interview Dorthe Mathiesen of ViSSEVASSE, we both immediately knew that the place would be perfect for this series.
Located in an old building on the harbor in Amager, the ViSSEVASSE studio is a perfect mix of living, work and showroom areas. Because the posters are the main focus, you find them not only stacked and rolled in the storage area, but also covering the walls.
Small personal touches like the DIY string screens and the old-fashioned dentist’s trolley lend a sense of humor and pops of unexpected textures. We can see why Dorthe feels so inspired here every day.
