It’s January in Copenhagen! The sweet scent of opportunities and the sour aftertaste of hangover, there’s nothing like the first month of a new year. While some remnants of December are welcome to stick around a little longer (festive lights and leftover food), we can’t wait to get rid of others (the pandemic tops that list!).
January 2022 won’t be as lighthearted as we hoped but with proper precautions, we’ll do our best to enjoy Copenhagen as much as always, just from the comfort of our own homes.
Here are the best online events in Copenhagen this month:
Thursday 6th January
Copenhagen BlaBla Language Exchange
If your new year’s resolutions included brushing up your language skills then this is for you: Copenhagen BlaBla Language Exchange has moved online. Join to practice Spanish, English, German, or whatever you like with other language enthusiasts. From 8:30-11 pm. Can’t make it? There will be a second session on Friday, 14th January from 7:30-10 pm. And while you’re at it, you might want to read up on some Danish expressions we collected for you.
Wednesday 26th January
Supreme Court and scandal cases
Dive into the world of political scandals in this online lecture by Djøf. Supreme Court Judge Jens Peter Christensen, Professor Jørgen Grønnegård Christensen, and Director Lykke Friis will discus the Supreme Court and cases like the recent mink scandal in the light of the duties and responsibilities of ministers and officials.
