Beauty products at ILLUM

The beauty hall is on the ground floor at ILLUM. There’s an extensive offering of beauty, skincare, and fragrance for both men and women. They have an excellent selection of clean beauty, as well as all the big brands you already know.

Some of the best Scandinavian beauty brands include Nuori, Zarkoperfume, Byredo, Karmameju, Kjær Weis, and Sachajuan.

Womenswear fashion at ILLUM

Womenswear, including ready-to-wear and women’s shoes, is located on the second floor of ILLUM. Their brands range from mid-range to luxury, and from international to Scandinavian. They also have an impressive selection of Scandinavian sustainably-minded brands, including Aiayu, Blanche, Filippa K, and Skall Studio.

Other Scandi women’s ready-to-wear brands we recommend are Stine Goya, Our Legacy, Tôteme, Holzweiler, and Rue de Tokyo. These brands are often hard to find elsewhere in stores in Copenhagen – having them all in one place is ideal!

Menswear fashion at ILLUM

Men’s ready-to-wear, shoes, and accessories can all be found on the first floor. There’s an impressive number of brands available, with everything from athleisure to modern suiting.

The Scandi ready-to-wear brands for men to browse are NN07, Norse Projects, Martin Asbjørn, Tonsure, Soulland, and Mads Nørgaard. For shoes, we recommend Swims, Eytys, Veja, and the Last Conspiracy.

Design items at ILLUM

Design items are located on the fourth floor of ILLUM at the Design Atelier. The area around the rooftop is a beautifully-curated marketplace of Scandinavian and international interior design, with a focus on handcraft, vintage, and sustainable pieces.

This is where to go if you want Scandinavian gifts to bring back home! Important brands to know there include Tekla Fabrics, Klassik Studio, Raawii Ceramics, The Organic Company, Marimekko, and Notem Studio.

Food markets at ILLUM

The underground level at ILLUM has a large food market with some fantastic booths. If you’re looking for food items to take back home as gifts, or the perfect thing to take to your next dinner party, the food market is for you. Check out Lakrids by Bülow for delicious chocolate-covered liquorice, SV Michelsen Chokolade for boxes of gourmet chocolate, and Holms Bageri for tasty bread and pastries.

There’s also an Irma where you can do your grocery shopping.

Food at the ILLUM rooftop

There’s nothing better after a day of shopping (or browsing) than having a drink, coffee, or meal while overlooking central Copenhagen. Restaurants on the ILLUM rooftop run from casual to more upscale.

We recommend Original Coffee for a pastry and hot drink, Brasserie Jacobsen for a craft beer, and Rossopomodoro for delicious Italian pizza and an Aperol Spritz.

In addition, there’s a breastfeeding room that includes a children’s play area on the rooftop that’s ideal for those shopping with young kids.
