Danish fashion designer Henrik Vibskov never fails to disappoint, both with his clothing collections and the names for those collections. This season is named Please Analyze Voluminize Moisturize Me, which somehow comes across as both a little raunchy and something you’d read on the back of a shampoo bottle.
But a funny name does not a good collection make, and Vibskov got down to business when it came to what he sent down the runway. With an intricate, human propelled art installation situated in the middle of the runway, somehow the focus was still on the clothes.
There were the the silhouettes and boldness we’ve come to expect from Vibskov: oversized, over the top, yet somehow still refined. Though he almost always works with red (and it was, of course, part of the collection), it was yellow that stood out this season, as well as his strong textural work, particularly on outwear.
