Fashion weeks can feel a little isolated; fashion in general often seems to be more about exclusion and aspiration than about the general public who fuel the industry. In Copenhagen, we’re lucky that Fashion Week runway shows are accompanied by many free and open events, making the fashion world a bit more welcoming. Check out everything from exhibitions to afterparties!

Meet the Designers of Fashion Hong Kong
If you’re interested in hearing more from exciting Hong Kong-based designers, head to CIFF for free drinks, snacks and conversation with the four designers showing at this year’s Fashion Hong Kong runway show. Register here to attend.

The French Embassy Human Rights Prize
Former Head of Copenhagen Fashion Week Eva Kruse will be awarded the Human Rights Prize of the French Embassy for creating Copenhagen Fashion Summit, the world’s largest conference on sustainable fashion. Art Walk with Eurowoman
This event merges the worlds of fashion and art. Eurowoman Editor-In-Chief Anne Lose takes you on a tour of her favorite art at Statens Museum for Kunst in addition to a discussion with museum curator Henrik Holm. What an inspiring day! Tickets are 100 DKK (so actually less than the cost of regular admission, which is 110 DKK).

Muf10 Afterparty
Head over to Blow Club in the centre of the city to celebrate Muf10’s runway show. The bar is open all night and all you need to do to get on the guest list is email [email protected]. Cheers!

Lunch with Lovechild 1979
Unfortunately Lovechild 1979 isn’t having a runway show this season, but you can still see their latest collection at French café Beau Marché. Tickets are a little steep at 200 DKK, but lunch is included (and the food there is very tasty).

Shopping with Alt for Damerne
Sille Henning, fashion director at Danish magazine Alt for Damerne, will show you the best places to shop around Copenhagen, including Holly Golightly, Notabene and more. The event costs 50 DKK and begins at DAY Boutique.
