Our own Instagram account is where we post travel tips, inspiration and things that make us smile. We love discovering new perspectives, places to eat and brands, whether it’s via the “explore” page or checking out hashtags.
Here’s where we look first when we want to know what’s happening around Sweden:
@Linda_lomelino
The author of multiple cookbooks and the cooking/photography blog Call me Cupcake, Linda Lomelino has developed a style that is at once widely appealing and extremely individual. Her baking recipes (both traditional Swedish and otherwise) are great, but it’s her beautiful images that will make you crave cakes, flowers and Dutch-masters level dark backgrounds.
@Magnusfaviken
Owner and head chef of Faviken, the world renown and Michelin-star restaurant in Järpen, Sweden, Magnus Nilsson’s account is a look into the true New Nordic lifestyle. Catch glimpses of foraging, new dishes and the Swedish countryside.
@_mikaelaxelsson
Moody, often black & white shots of architecture, nature and interiors around Sweden. Mikael’s calm, beautiful photography showcases the beauty in simple, calm scenes.
@Stockholmfood
This account lets you in on the best of Stockholm’s food and drink, including prices, address and opening hours. Scroll through the enticing pictures to find your next great meal!
@Swedishmarcus
Lovely, clean shots of urban life and nature – particularly water – from all over Sweden. If you want to get an aesthetic sense of the Swedish landscape, both rural and urban, this is the account for you.
@Visitsweden
We usually don’t include tourism accounts in our round ups, but Visit Sweden’s instagram is fantastic and a great place to start if you’re thinking about traveling to anywhere in Sweden. They do a great job of curating very talented photographers, meaning that you can find some wonderful accounts by scrolling through their images. There’s a nice balance of nature and city shots, as well as more artistic work.
