There is alway a lot going on during Copenhagen Fashion Week, but it can seem like most of the fun is reserve for those in the fashion industry. While that may be largely true, Copenhagen Fashion Week does hold a number of events that are for everyone interested in fashion. Some of these events are free, some require tickets, and all address a different aspect of the fashion industry in Denmark, from sustainability to major brands to emerging designers.
These are the events that are open to the public this season at Copenhagen Fashion Week:
HAV – An exhibition featuring the Blue Fashion Challenge
HAV (meaning ocean) is the exhibition showcasing the Blue Fashion Challenge, a competition that took place on the Faroe Islands in 2017 that focused on sustainability practices in fashion production. Here, you can see the competition pieces and learn about how sustainability is slowly working its way into the heart of fashion’s future. There are also images of the Challenge, all shot by renown fashion photographer Tommy Ton.
