Are you a travel minimalist? The items on your packing list can be pared down to the essentials, but there’s no reasons those essentials shouldn’t be high-quality and beautiful.
Traveling can be daunting, whether you’re going on a long trip or a quick weekend getaway. What to bring? What to leave at home? Did I overpack? Does my destination have toilet paper? These are the questions that keep us up at night. Happily, there are a few tried-and-true items that not only look great, they’ll help streamline the whole travel process, making them a double-whammy for the minimalist set, and everyone else.
Here are the minimalist travel items we take with us when we’re on the road, including suitcase, cosmetics case, and more:
Away Carry-On Suitcase
These hard-shell, four wheel suitcases are easy on the eye but that’s not the only reason we love them. The Carry-On will fit perfectly in any overhead compartment, holds a good deal more than you’d think – the compression compartments see to that – AND can charge up to two items, like a phone and a tablet, at once! Perfect for when you’re running through the airport but also need to make sure you’re capturing everything on Instagram Stories.
Most people would say this can hold a few days’ worth of clothes, but we’ve actually fit in a whole month of jeans, tees and underwear with no problem (when we say we’re minimalists, we mean it).
Nuori Travel Cases
These cases are ideal for cosmetics, skincare, and ot her small items like jewelry. The clear compartment means they’re safe for air travel, while the sleek silhouette offers a bit of old-world glamor. The comb with individual case is a great alternative to packing a brush; so much more compact!
Use code SCANDI10 for 10% off your Nuori purchase until 31st March 2021.
One Piece Original Onesie
Taking streamlined to the extreme, One Piece has a range of great unisex onesies that make travel a little cosier. Their original cotton onesie comes in regular or light cotton and a host of colors. But, of course, we like it in black. NB: there are also some pretty fantastic non-minimalist versions.

A good pair of headphones
A good pair of headphones is necessary for any kind of travel, from bike to air. In-ear are good for day-to-day but we’re fans of over-ear for relaxing on the go. Urban Ears has some chic and inexpensive options. For noise-cancelling, we swear by the Bang and Olufsen Beoplay H6.
